Sibling love ~

This weekend flew by.. but of course as every weekend does when all you want to do is be at home. We had a couple of exciting moments this weekend, Cael had his first actual solids! YAY! Although I have been putting a little bit of cereal in his formula, it's been light, so I challenged him with some oatmeal cereal and later some apples. He LOVED it~! Still getting used to the whole idea, I think he would rather suck on the spoon. He was so excited to eat and shook his head a little after a bite or two.... those little tastebuds didn't know what to think. He would whimper when I would take the spoon away but soon be happy to get another bite of apple goodness. Big sister thought it was exciting too, so I let her give him a couple of bites. She gets really excited to help, she thought it was funny in which made him laugh and get applesauce all over.
Big sissy, just loving to help! (sorry the photos are fuzzy)
Wants the spoon to himself now.
hmmm, tasty!
Kayleigh was such a big help this weekend and loved helping and entertaining her baby brother. She loves to sing and move his arms and legs around. She LOVES to hug and kiss on him. Cael is starting to show reaction to her which is so cute, he will just LIGHT UP when he sees her and just stare, smiling and laughing! It's just the most adorable thing and I get emotional thinking about how they will be growing up. I surely hope they will stay close and loveable. As they would sit together, Kayleigh will play "Teek-a-boo" as she calls it and he would just get the biggest belly laugh going and then he started doing his first sounds...trying to say something. I have some video but until I can figure out how to download.. you will have to stay tunned for that cute bit. Here are some photos:
Kissing on her brother.
He is doing his little sounds here...bha...bha..bbbbb
or something kinda like it.
Here is the video... I figued it out!
I also managed to get some of Kayleigh's decorating done in her room, I will have some better photos of that too. Kayleigh was a big girl and helped mommy and she was so amazed with what I did, she said "mama, thank you so much for my room, this is my princess room and my bed is the castle and that's my name". She was really happy to see that I put up her name on the wall and we had to be creative with her little canapy since we could not put it up high due to the fan and her bunk bed. So, it's a work in progress but this is what we have so far.
She was tired and ready for bed.
