Poor baby Cael was sick with a sinus infection...my poor boy was so not himself. He became very hard to hear, very raspy with his cough and cry... I can barely hear him at times. We did our very best to make him feel comfortable and loved. Big sister was very compassionate and gave him kisses.
So, we stayed home for the most part all weekend but we did go out for a long shopping spree of groceries, groceries and ....more groceries! Thank goodness that Cael slept the entire time!
While we were out, we did stop by the new Hobby Lobby and OMG... it's HUGE and its WONDERFUL!!! I love it and I will continue to go back for more...more....MORE! Hint ...hint for a great gift...CERTIFICATES are sold here! he he
So, many, many ideas are going through my mind of new decor here and there and a project here to do and so and so on. We did walk out with everything bought.. 50% off. I got a few little ditty's for the casa ~.
Kayleigh had a couple of moments of acting out.. she just felt the need to NOT listen to me. I think she was jealous of baby brother getting special attention due to being sick. So, she didn't want to listen to mom and I felt like a broken record. It was trying at times, my patience was tested but I pulled through! PHEW... thank goodness I have a A LOT of it.
She was of course too cute.. one of those moments that you have to keep it together for the sake of being the parent. In this instance..it was funny and touching. As I was leaving for a quick run to the store before dinner. I had my purse in hand and Kayleigh sees me.. she says " where you going with your shoes on?!" I said mommy needs to get away for a bit...then she says.. "when you get back, I will say sorry and be better". Oh MAN... she just didn't make my heart SWAY! So I said... while trying to keep composure.. "okay honey... I will be back in a little bit." She puckers up for a kiss and PULLS me down for a REAL STRONG HUG! Gotta LOVE this GIRL!!! She is WAY to smart, caring and know how to use it all!!!
So, when I tucked her into bed that night, she said, "mom, I just love you!"
"I sorry I didn't listen".
I thought I would share pics from this weekend, a sickly little boy, a beautiful sunset, a promising double rainbow outside our door, some fall decor around the house and a Christmas inspiration to make for our welcoming door.
Oh.. and, Thanksgiving is gonna be fun... I have some fun games and activities for the dinner and after. It should be a lot of fun.PS...I believe I have finished my Christmas card ideas so they SOON be out in the mail. I hope, which will be a FIRST for me.
He managed to still keep smiling, in between the crumminess ~
A high arched double rainbow.. you can barley see the one on top of the other. It was really pretty...until the clouds came back.
I love the fullness of this wreath ...it's inspiration to make one of my own!
