Kayleigh's 5th birthday party... was A LOT of fun! A lot of planning, creativity and time but ALL worth it! Kayleigh wanted a pirate party, she had seen the scull and crossbones with a pink bow with all sorts of party stuff in one of those party magazines but she also wanted to have it on a tropical island. So... thats what became..... of the Tropical Pirate Parrrty ~
Lots of kiddos and family and friends attended and we had fun playing the games with the kids, especially the Walk the plank. Which at the last minute we had no plank.. so we thought of the retaining wall... there ya go.. A PLANK...and then we added the water grenades, they had to get past! They had so much fun!
The invitations were a lot of fun.. except for the blister that I got from clicking the lighter so many times to get the burning effect...gotta love child safety locks!
Everything came together and a BIG BIG THANK YOU goes out to Mew Maw... aka Devona, Nathan's mom for helping SO MUCH with food, putting up decorations and cleaning, making sure all was going well at the party! THANK YOU MEW MAW..WE LOVE YOU!
The photos will tell the tale of Captn' Kayleigh's 5th Yer... I had a basket of goodies for the kiddos when you walked in, Pirate hats, neon swords, eye patches and earring's! The kids loved them and they knew just what to do as they ventured outside to play out on the tropical island and ship ashore.
Food was simple but kid friendly, the cake was last minute..as I was running out of time. I had planned to make this two-tier tropical hut cake... yeah...no time. So off to order a cake, we got this cute little tropical island cupcake cake..that had Minnie mouse and Mickey mouse...it was too cute I thought it was suiting. Kayleigh loved it.
Uncle Benny & Auntie Tishy bought Kayleigh her Pirate costume for the party, a gift and perfect for Halloween. It was also Uncle Benny and Kyle's birthday.. Kyle turned 15 ...next year is a BIG PARTY for the Sweet 16~! Kyle was having fun with the little kids.. I think he got a lot of satisfaction being the OLDEST! Kyle is really sweet and patient with the kids. He had fun and most of all enjoyed my sugar cookies. I will make more for you buddy. Uncle Benny...well.. we won't mention how old HE IS. he he
Enjoy the photos ~ ITS LONG...very LONG. : )
