Thanksgiving ... a reflection on blessing's ~

It's 12:44 am and I have just finished some of my contribution towards Thanksgiving Linner ~ Yes, that would be Linner and not Dinner because we have such a big meal for both lunch and dinner. My contributions this year.. shall I say our family's contributions are, ham, mashed taters, deviled eggs, home made apple pie and home made pumpkin roll... and a little bit of this and that too.

This year is bitter sweet celebation... for it it bitter because we do not have extended family with us today to celebrate and give Thanks for all that this year has given us.. the good and bad because we can all learn from the bad and be thankful that we have learned from them... as the lord wants us to do. Yet, it is sweet because... we are together.. our little family of four and our new friends/ new neighbors that we have become good friends with in a short time.. we have been living here almost a year and a half and we have recently became good friends... yes we have waved.... had some small chit chat as we lingered out front while the kids played for a few moments. However... one of those Saturday morning's of play and small chit chat became more... it was just casual conversation that led into a fun and easy going friendship. We have kiddos close to age and I have found a work out buddy too!

So, this Thanksgiving, we of course give thanks to the good lord above on the wonderful blessing's he has bestowed upon us... we are ever so grateful for our jobs, for our wonderful cozy home, for our two lovely adorable kiddos and for the little things that we all take for granted every day.

I am thankful for Nathan.. .for he is truly my rock... he gives me strength when I am weak.. he guides me in the right direction...(especially when were talking about the dollar bills.. he he ) he accepts me for me... he loves me for me.. we really are opposites with a lot of things... but our bond is strong and we connect magically!

I love my kiddos with all of my being and more than words can possibly express! They truly are a lot of work but I love it. I love my Kayleigh for the sassy ways she does things, says things. Her personality is one of a million and I love that she is just so darn cute... yes at times... she can be challenging.. this is my life.. and I am thankful!

My little Cael.. my monkey boy... He is the calmest..loving, handsome witty little boy. I enjoy him so much.. the way he just carries on with his zooming way around the house.. so busy playing and figuring out this and that. I am so lucky and thankful to be his mommy.
I look forward to watching them grow.. I look forward to watching Nathan and I grow along with them and I look forward to our many days with our friends.. new ones and older ones... we are thankful for all our friends and all to our long extended family we love you all ~!

Happy Thanksgiving ~ May it be a wonderful day of fullness... full belly's, love and laughter ~
