What a happy day for little tots and adults too. However, specifically for my little tot this year as she is getting older and gets excited for these days.. even if it may be a holiday in question... I think for little kids...and young kids at heart its a WONDERFUL DAY!
I remember in grade school looking forward to this day and getting a cute little valentine with a candy.. at times I didn't care about the candy but what my Valentine's looked like. I loved it and I think Kayleigh is going to too.
Last night Kayleigh helped me put together her little Valentine's cards for her friends at school. I really enjoy making than buying.. it just adds that extra care and friendly touch and I enjoy doing something special with my daughter. She put all the sticker hearts on as we had a very interesting conversation... but I can't tell ... cuz it's a secret and daddy reads this .. and she said.. don't tell daddy. So.. secret safe!
So even though each Valentine gets a yummy strawberry and vanilla heart shaped sucker... we also prepared a very yummy cake dessert for her party too!
First time baking project.. I have seen these around in the party blog world.. and I have been wanting to try it out. Cake POPS... YUM!! Even though these took some time in various steps.. it was worth it and fun! As the first time doing so.. I know how to do things differently how to shape them to be prettier. However...these turned out pretty cute and tasty too. I hope her class enjoys them. I will be making an apperance .. so I can take some photos. (you'll see it here)
....AND TONIGHT I will have the Valentine goodies for the kiddos.. SO EXCITED ! (pics to follow)
Here are the Valentine's that I made, the graphics and the hearts from my Cricut ~
