She was singing and prancing around the house until it was time to go. Daddy made her lunch and (although I think he forgot the ice pack.. but it should be okay.) Kayleigh loves her new lunch box and her new book bag.. she is all set for Kindergarten!
Last night I put on her special name tags to go with her iCarly messenger bag and her princess lunch box. She LOVED them and she said that "I was the BEST mom.. she never had! ".. AWE.. thanks.. I think...ha ha. She also had matching labels for her folders.

Here it is all put together and awaiting our Kindergartner ~

(at this point she was so over me taking pictures.. lol)
Kayleigh checking it out.. so sweet!
Putting her bags away ~
At her desk, I really like that she is right up front next to Mrs. Greer's desk.

THIS PHOTO. Daddy pinning Kayleigh's name on the first day!
So sweet.. I think I started getting teary eyed here..
but I held on strong!
Kayleigh's desk.. I was excited to see her desk.. maybe a lil more than her. It's so cute!
(even though.. she is not looking but still cute.. and yikes.. sorry for the cleavage shot!)
...and here is are a few photos of what her class looks like!
Kayleigh's little star is at the bottom right! A STAR she IS!
Her birthday balloon is purple and it's in the middle right next to the poster on the left.
(...and yes.. I am that mom)
This was so sweet. I hung out by the door to see her interaction and while Mrs. Greer was still helping kids outside.. the teachers aide.. Paul was keeping the kinders entertained.

The back of her class.
...and just waiting for it to begin!

It was a WONDERFUL morning full of all kinds of anticipation, anxiety (more me), excitement and tears.. (mine). I did really well.. held on strong.. until I started walking away from her class.. I just couldn't believe.. that my baby girl was now such a big girl and ready to take on SCHOOL! I have to soak in all of these young years and hold them close to my heart and capture every moment I can via video and photos... because I hear.. and KNOW they will go by quicker than we want them to.

His first question was.. " Raise your hand and tell the class your favorite thing you did this summer?" Kayleigh raised her arm up and he picked her.. and she of course just chatted away!
Oh yeah.. I have no worries that she will not be interactive in class!
Here she is telling him all about it.

So for my beautiful, sweet, excited Kindergartner on her first day of school.. you did your mama proud and I couldn't be more excited for you and all that your going to endure in your school years! I have a feeling that your gonna make a lot of friends, your gonna be socialable, your gonna be helpful, your gonna be an awesome student..just take your time and focus, you will be competitive and you will have your good and bad days.. but that is how we learn and strive to be better! I love you my little Ukulele ~ Your gonna be AWESOME at school!
