4th of July ~

Okay.. so finally a blog that was just a few days ago. I am trying to get better with blogging after the fact. The problem is, I take so many pictures it takes forever to go through them all but they are so cute (if I say so myself). Also, it's hard to just pick a few.. so I pick MANY and that's okay too! ; )

So.. 4th of July ~ It was a very relaxing 3-day weekend. We pretty much relaxed and enjoyed the great weather and our home. Sunday we went downtown and walked the "square" (Courthouse grounds or park in the middle of downtown Prescott). The kids ran around, had some cotton candy and then we had to GO! A place with real bathrooms because we were not doing the port-o-johns... NO THANKS! Off to have lunch and then home for some POOL TIME! The pool was nice and Cael has NO FEAR taking off and playing in the water.. he LOVES it. He wanted daddy the whole time to take him around and he loved to play with the water that was shooting up. Kayleigh, oh my dear Kayleigh...she LOVES the water.. loves to play in the shallow end! The deep end however, we take her over and she clings on to us for DEAR LIFE! Oh Kayleigh! So, we bought some things to help her take on the deep end and help her feel safe. We hope it works.

The kids were worn out after swimming, they took a nap and we watched a movie and I made some chocolate chip with mini m& m's cookies. Then it was time to fire up the grill and have some yummy steaks! Thanks BABE! I LOVE when he grills.. it makes the rest of the dinner and clean up easy on me! We watched another movie and then realized there were some booming sounds... so we quickly put the kids in the strollers and jetted a few houses down to the golf course and watched from AFAR ~

Overall it was a GREAT weekend... a nice summer weekend, family time, park and play, grilling and swimming ~ I can't wait for MORE summer fun!
