A play date and random stuff ~

This past weekend was UP and down.

THE UP'S:

Kayleigh has been asking us constantly about having a friend from school over to come play with her. So, finally we set the date and D and her mom came over for a visit. They had so much fun playing, running around and being silly girls. It was so cute to see her play and listen to the way they talked to one another and giggle. Little girls smiles and giggles is just as sweet as honey. So cute ~

I came up with a little craft for them to do and although they went off to play and finish cutting them out later..I think they enjoyed the craft. Next time I have another fun project in mind to try out.

Brandi, D's mom is a c0-worker of Nathan and a twin sister to my co-worker and friend Amber. While the girls played, I taught her to make salsa...it was a win win for everyone. After a couple of hours of just the girls, Amber, Logan and Reese came over for some play time and food.

THE DOWN'S:

Mr. Cael started to not feel well last week, we took him in on Friday after having spiking fevers.. the verdict to switch antibiotics because he has become immune to it. So, okay. Stayed home Friday with him to got some rest but he just wasn't feeling good, not eating nor drinking enough. Saturday rolls in and fevers kept on all day and then late at night it spiked to 104.3..called the doc and he said go to ER. So.. off we went and .... another ear infection. I mean REALLY... can we STOP already!

So..we went home for more rest, meds and trying to get liquids down him. Poor guy! All he wanted was ME.. his mama..and of course I held him.. and held him and loved on him, kisses after kisses I felt for him. Finally he is now feeling better.. still trying to catch up with eating like he was but he will get there. He is back to smiling and laughing and doing his thing!

The monsoons are here and we have been getting a lot of rain.. yay! Love the rain.. it wouldn't bother me to live in Seattle or other areas that get a lot of rain.. I find it soothing and I love the smell and sound. So, now that we have patio furniture in the front and back of the house.... I sit and enjoy what it brings.....as long as the rain behaves and doesn't come in at me or the thunder is way spooky. I welcome you rain.. and you can stay!
