Birthday celebration ~

Cael's 2nd birthday was spent at home and we celebrated in a mixed theme of St. Patrick's Day (because we have Irish blood.. and I thought it was cute)... and Spongebob Squarepaints.. because he L-O-V-E-S, loves... LOVES ..as he calls it " bob-bob ". So.. I did the best I could to make a party of both themes. Irish food, Spongebob cake and a mix of both for decor.

We had invited our friends and neighbors over for dinner and cake...because his birthday being on a Tuesday.. it was a little hard to get people to come AND.. his 2nd was low key due to his 1st being big. He's pretty low key and he is TWO, part of me feels bad for not having something on a weekend..but I'll get over it. So.. with the other missing family and friends that were not there.. we bring you photos ~

Here is the very simple banner I did for Cael, in fact I thought it looked

just fine without any backing to it. I designed it just fine on the white and a simple twine held it all together.

He did LOVE his banner and kept looking at it.. so THAT makes mama HAPPY!

That morning.. his first gift was from Mimi, his sitter.

He was watching her as she was getting it...

he LOVES IT! She said he rode that ALL DAY!

When he didn't ride around.. he sat on it.

He was SO EXCITED.. he kept saying "bob-bob" and

hugging him and then... hiding himself in the throw blanket.

You will see the bob bob ghost come out on this blog.. he is sneaky!

CAKE TIME ~

Spongebob cake was a hit ~ He LOVED it.. or shall I say the TOYS on it!

At first glance of the cake.. he FREAKED! FREAKED out with

EXCITEMENT! and HAD to have the cake!

We had to do it just then.. I strapped him in his chair as he flung himself around with

anger because I would not let him have at it.

Then.. we QUICKLY sang to him.. and he LOVED IT....

Okay.. he HATED it. He was NOT HAPPY... he was like stop.. stop singing I want

those toys!

Sissy had to help him blow out the candles ~

PHEW ~ he calmed down !

gave him cake.. and toys!

During cake time.. daddy was putting together the race track we got him.

I tried but he knew it was a SPECIAL DAY and he wasn't having it.
